Jake Merrick is a devoted Christian, married for 15 years to his wife, and a proud father of two homeschooled daughters, ages 16 and 11. A seminary graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University and a Master’s of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Jake is also an author, entrepreneur, former professor and pastor who has dedicated his life to serving others through teaching, speaking, and preaching the gospel. His commitment to fitness and active living reflects his belief in personal responsibility and stewardship. Jake served as a State Senator for Oklahoma’s District 22 from 2021 to 2022 and hosted his popular morning radio show, “The Jake Merrick Show,” on Freedom 96.9 FM, for 2.5 years until stepping away to run for governor. He also hosts the “Jake for the State” podcast, engaging Oklahomans on key issues.
